Happy new year!!!

I just wanted to wish you all a very happy healthy and love filled 2010!!!!!!!

2009 hasnt been a bad year for me i traveled with my youngest son to a world championships in a sport he had only been doing 6 months when he became a double welsh champion and then won a world bronze medal after just a year he has also done 4 belts and will be going for his fifth in february he has also won several other trophoes from competitions i wish him all the luck with all future contests we are all VERY proud of him well done Leon xx

Jake has done very well with his exams and got to choose all his subjects for his gcses being top band in school and working hard to keep himself there is something we are also all VERY proud of and he is still trying to learn to play guitar im sure he will get there one day lol!!!

At the end of 2009 Donnys eyes seem to be improving he can see a lot more close up out of one eye but still just a tiny glipse of colour out of the other at the moment so it seems a much brighter path he is heading along so thats all good too.

I have had a good year i enjoyed treaveling with Leon and the team and even walked out as part of the team at the world championships that was something else lol!!! I have achived my first kickboxing belt even thought it was something i never thought i would do and i am now attending classes three times a week hopefully during 2010 it will help me shape up more ..hopefully ..mind you so would laying off the crisps and wine but i cant do that lol!!! i havent done as much as i would of liked to on the craft side but with the house getting a make over and Donny and the boys to take care of i guess i just havent had the time gonna try to do more though new year new start..........

Merry christmas

Its almost time for santa

I can hardly believe it is christmas eve already where has this year gone wow it just seems to go quicker and quicker with each year it realy does. We are almost all ready here all the shopping is done and now its just time to spend time with my boys and relax. I would like to say a big thankyou to all those who took the time and effort in sebnding me a christmas card i seem to always be sending out some sort of card to someone lol but the prices are getting silly now with the post office so this will be the last year i make an effort to send to someone who doesnt have the time to send one to me it just doesnt seem like making the effort of making the card to some people who dont even say thankyou sometimes is worth the effort a bit harsh maybe....yes i know its the time for giving but thaankyou aways goes a long way hey.

Thankyou Rose for sending me these lovely gifts i really wasnt expecting them so it makes it so special that you thought of me this way i really do hope you and John have a wonderful holidays together.
And thankyou Nicky for the wonderful gifts that you sent me they are under my tree untill tomorrow morning and i cant hardly wait to see what i have hun xxx

This years christmas cards

Here are the christmas cards i made for my sons for christmas the one on the left os for Leon as he is always the joker of the two boys even though both cards are funny this one made me laugh the most when i first found the design and i knew i HAD to make them into cards for my boys. The one on the right is for Jake as this is the type of thing he would do when taking a photo lol xx.It had been a very long while since i picked up a needle and i did really enjoy stitching these cards i really need to try make more time to do more as i have really missed it so much.

When i first seen this design in cross stitcher i had to stitch it into a card for my dh for xmas but i did not count on having to do it twice so bewarned now!!!!!!! if you are stitching it for anyone who is an avid liverpool fc supporter just dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
apartantly its an everton mont and its the last thing they want lol so i had to re do it so it acually looked like a humbug lol x

Here i am being awarded my red belt. I was so nervous but at the same time happy i managed to acually do something by myself for myself :-)

Another kickboxing competition

This sunday our club traveled upto Cardiff for a kickboxing competition. Donny travelled up with Leon and the coach and his daughter and her boyfriend and i satyed home with Jake and went to help Rachel out with the kickboxing club. Leon competed in two events the first was point scoring . This isnt Leons strongest one and he won silver. Unfortunitly after traveling all they way up the three boys pictures who are all in our club had to all fight each other, But they all did very well.
The second fight that Leon was in is the light contitnuous which is his stronger one. Here he won a gold and we are very very proud of him.Hmmmm think im gonna have to buy a bigger cupbiard though as together with his and Jakes rugby awards im gonna start running out of space lol!!!!

Tonights the night

As i write this my hands are shaking im so so nervous i dont know why i really dont!!! its not like im the only one whos going to be there doing it almost the whole room is afterall but i just cant escape the knot that is tightening in my stomach the more today turns closer into this evening. This was never part of the plan then again none of it really was from the start so i didnt plan on this happening at all!!! Incase you are wondering i am standing up tonight in a room full of people and performing my kata to try and get my red belt in kickboxing and i am dreading every minute of it!!!! I stood up in front of all the people that are going to be there and a whole lot more singing at the karaoke party but this....this is so so different!!!!!! Please wish me luck i will find out on wednesday how i did xxx

parents evening

Tonight was Leons turn to shine as it was his parents evening the only thing is with his world championships and all the time he has had off ill since weve been back there really wasnt much they can tell me apart from he is a really clever boy and deserves his place in the top set where he is. His only downfall is he likes to chat a bit too much lol sounds just like his mum hey!!!! xx Now we just have to wait for Jakes.

Tonight is our town carnival night, We have a procession of brightly lite floats fireworks and the turning on of our town lights. But as friday is also our kickboxing night we didnt go as it was raining and freeing cold and with Leon and myself just getting over this flu and chest infections we have had since returning home from Dublin this proberly was the best idea all round so we decided although our carnival was a week earlier this year we would still do up our home ready for the coming holidays. Back to Wales

Here are team wales photo taken at the wkc world championships and if you look closly enough you will be bale to see Leon in the front row wearing his fighting kit and me in the back row lol

As a part of the team i had to be in the photo and the prosession it was quite a strange thing to do i have to admit not being an acual fighter but it was a very brilliant thing to do to and i loved every moment of it.
Out of such a small team i am very happy to say we were lucky enough to come homw with 5 medals and i am very proud to say that Leon was one of those who did a fantastic job and brought home a medal here he is
i have uploaded lots of photos of the fighting and dublin to my multiply for you to go take a look at we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to the welsh qualifiers next march when we will find out if Leon will be going to Holland next year x

Happy Halloween!!!!

Ok i know you know im not here but i just wanted to show you the little exchange that Louise and i did with each other i really missed not joining in the ones i always do but it just wouldnt of been fair this year as i have just been far far too busy with everything else. Thankyou Louise for taking the time to do this with me i do hope you are all having a wonderful time and are enjoying for me too as i cannot celebrate with you all this year xxxx

And we are off!!!

I can hardly believe we will be leaving for Dublin tomorrow night and i am still so scared of getting on the boat you wouldnt believe!!!! i guess as it is the middle of the night i am even more nervous of the 3 and a half hour sea crossing as i wont even be able to look out!!! we are leaving Llanelli at 11pm and will be arriving at the weighing at the hotel where the fighting will be taking place at 10.30am the next moring. Leon is all excited but is also a bit nervous of getting onto the boat i am just worried about leaving Donny and Jake at home but i am hopeful all will go well i hope you all have a great halloween take care and will speak to you all soon xxxx

Halloween party

We had a wonderful halloween party at the kickboxing as a good luck to the welsh team and a bog thankyou to all those who have helped us with getting us all there i have uploaded lots and lots of photos to me multiply so please if you have the time go take a little look also on my facebook. There was lots of things to do trick or treats dancing and karaoke and it really did help to bring the team together a wonderful night was had by all :-)

Its almost here!!!

Dont you just love halloween lol i know i do and i have been making brasclets for the children at the halloween party i am helping organise for kickboxing what do you think do you think they will like them ... i really do hope so :-)

Where does it all go.....

..... the time that is? i have hardly had time to do anything these days it just seems to be kickboxing kickboxing kickboxing if im not there i am raising funds or organising hhmmmm i sometimes wonder why i throw myself into these things so so deeply....then i remember i am doing it all for my son...my wonderful son who is so talented i cannot leave him go and no nothing with his life when he has such an amaing gift. I hope that jake starts to do this too so that then i can spend more time with him but his life just seems to involve msn and his new friends these days and he has little time for anyone or anything else but hopefully thats just a phase teenagers hey dont you just love em lol.

Happy anniversary

i would like to wish my wonderful husband a fantastic day today we have been through so much and i am amazed to think it has been 14 years we have been married we have been together for over half my life and i love him so much i really dont think i could imagine it with out him. So heres to you babe may we have many many more to go xxxxx

Pembrey car show.

Today we went with Rachel Lyndon and thier family who are Leons girllfriend Emilys parents to the Pembrey car show the weather was wet windy and cold but the boys seemed to enjoy the cars where i prefered the fair lol. It was nice to have a day out but to be honest this weather really isnt much of a fun way to spend thier summer break its like last year all over agin. The pool has just sat in the garden for most of the summer lonely and unused as it just hasnt been hot at all.

I have so neglected everything lately i havent picked up a needle in months i am never going to get my fairy finished my halloween this year. My decorating has been neglected i feel like everything around me is just kickboxing these days but i guess it will calm down when we come home from Dublin.I have found a new friend in Emilys mum though and it has been great getting to know her this last few weeks and she has been dragging me out much more than i am used to lol thats nice too!!!

Party in Penyfan park

Today we were at Party in Penyfan park running a bake sale for the kickboxing team doing fund raising again!! Yes sometimes this does seem never ending but we are trying so so hard to get the kids over to the world championships for free but it is taking a lot of work. We did quite well even though it was raining on and off all day and it was quite cold at times but we struggled through :-). We were there just after 9am and stayed right up untill 7pm and did make over £127.00 which was fantastic and goes toward the fund so it was all worthwhile.

While we were there Leon and his girl firend Emily decided they would go backing for Emilys sister Aimee in the Penyfans got talent contest here is the result lol yes my Leon is the one in the purple dress and blonde wig sit back have a giggle and enjoy!!!!

The welsh kick boxing team on the BBC

A few weeks ago i wrote to BBC Wales to ask if they could do a spot on the programme to help with fund raising and Sian Lloyd got in touch and they came down to interview the children here it is enjoy!!!!

Busy busy busy

I am still having problems finding time to fit everything i need to be into my days at the momment and with the boys being home for the summer holidays that isnt helping but at the same time it is lovely to have them home when i get to see them that is!!! I have been so so busy trying to get things done to help with Leons team to try and get as much funds in to help the children go to the world championships for as little cost as possible it has been truely time consuming but i have made 5 minutes for myself to come on here while i can as i will be starting kick boxing with Leon this afternoon to try help me along with my weight loss which hasnt been doing too well i have to admit i seem to be getting smaller but its just not showing on the scales which is a little frustrating i have to admit!! I am dreading it mind lol!!!

We went bag packing at our local Tesco last saturday morning for four hours and after a few hours spend counting up the money i am thrilled to be able to announce that we managed to bring in £600.06 which is fantastic!! a great big thankyou goes out to all those who tryed to help support our cause!!! We have made a new website HERE and if you go to events and then past events you will be able to see Leon on the slide show who has now dyed his hair red lol mind you thats an improvement on the purple he had the week before!!!

On Sunday after helping out at the car boot we were at a demenstartion for a charity event to try and help a local boy with a disability to get equipment so he can stay at a local comprehensive school HERE is the video that was taken of Tennassee,Lauren and Leon. Then of course we had kickboxing class after that!!

Wr are also going to be on BBC Wales tonight they are coming down to record us on tuesday afternoon and then we will be shown on the news hopefully that evening i will let you all know as soon as we return on tueday aftrnoon thats going to be exciting as they will be interviewing Leon we are looking foward to watching that!!

I also have my car going for its mot on monday so please keep your fingers crossed for me!! mind you if it fails i suppose ill get fitter quicker having to then walk more lol

Happy birthday Jake

Well its hard to believe that Jake is 14 all ready where does all the time go? its mad lol

It doesnt seem that long ago that he was sleeping in my arms and now he is almost all grown up doesnt it just fly by.I spent the morning in the car boot sale again raising money for Leon and his team mates im doing that every sunday morning now right up until we go. Then i spoke to Jake when he woke and Leon came down to the car boot sale to meet me and we went into town after. When we got back Jake was given his pressies and then i was out again with Leon to his kick boxing class. Whe we got back we all had some cake and then the boys dissapeared upsatirs on thier computers. We had an Indian take away which was lovely before we settled down and played guitar hero and sing star for the evening which was a lot of fun!!!

Our sponsored walk

I was so happy when we got up this morning we were looking at a beautiful warm sunny day for our walk to help with the fund raising for the junior welsh kickboxing team Leon and I had managed to do really quite well with the sponsoring and we are very grateful to all those who supported us along the way :-) we still have a very long way to go before we reach the traget we are hoping for but every little helps and we still have a lot of events we are planning to do up to october.We had quite a good turnout and with the samber band with us for a while it was all very livly. Even the littlest ones managed to walk the whole eight miles which was a lot for little feet especially with all the hills they had to walk up too we are all proud of each and everyone who took part and grateful to all those who supported us along the way.

Neglected

Thats how this blog should be feeling at the momment and its all my fault!! I have been so so busy this last few weeks i havent even had enough time to sit here and tink let alone type to let you all know how im doing. Well this is what ive been up to i seem to have thrown myself in at the deep end again lol the holidays. I have had a very busy weekend yesterday i was out all afternoon fundraising with Leon for the funds we need for the junior welsh kick boxing team who will be traveling to Dublin in november for the world championships as Leon is a double welsh champion it is improtant i think for me to support him in every way possible to try to get all the children there for as little cost as possible we are woring hard on looking for sponsers and i have managed to get myself into the secretery/fund raising spokesperson and all i wanted to do was help a little!! lol i will never learn to be the quiet mum i dont think!!! this morning i was with one of the coaches really early doing a car boot sale to raise yet more funds so i have decided there is another way i can help out i have decided that i will be running a raffle on my cross stitch board where the tickets will cost £1 and the winner will recieve a £15 gift voucher for my online hand dyed fabric shop the more i raise the more chance i have of helping out i do have photos of Leon with his gold medals on my multiply and facebook if anyone who hasnt seen would like to take a look. If anyone is interested in taking part in the draw just email me and i will add you to my board and give you the link.

I have also been very busy in the house and garden even though it has beev very hot and humid here i have cut down trees sorted through weeds built 3 new beds and taken the old ones down to be recycled we all needed the new beds and boy do they make a real differance they are amazing the boys have had midi sleepers and the love the new looks just the decorating to do in the rooms now but i will have to finish downstairs first as at the moment both the kitchen and bathroom are still only half done but very slowly we are beging to take shape my goal is to try and get it completed by christmas but i do understand with everything that goes on here it may not be possible but i will be keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I would also like to wish all my us friends a very happy 4th july weekend i do hope you are all having a wonderful holiday with your loved ones.


Well im off now to work on my halloween fairy who has been very badly neglected this week due to the meetings and fund raising and of course taking care of my boys and my hubby who had a better visit to the specialist this week it wasnt good news but then again it wasnt bad either thankfully.

Sharing some love xx

Recently a very dear friend of mine told us she had breast cancer. We met on the smo board and she came along to my runboard when i set it up for all of us to have somewhere where we could all go to chat about anything and nothing without being moaned at for being to off topic oe personal. When she told me i was in shock as she is such a loving giving lady who was always joining in exchanges and competitions and always there to chat and i have to say it hit us all very hard there were a lot of tears shed.
Rose and i chated and we decided that it may be a nice idea to make her a quilt so it would feel like when ever she needed us she could just wrap the quilt around her and we would all be there for her keeping her warm and strong through the difficault days. I pmd everyone on my board and Jacky,Louise,Sarah,Sue,Nicky and her daughter Lyn all joined me and Rose in making squares for the quilt. Lyns friend Lorna who has recently also become a member of the board did a fantastic job in making up the quilt and we are all very grateful for the wonderful job she did as you can see.Here is Joan with the quilt and i know she loves it as she left a very heart warming thankyou message for us all. Joan we are all here for you and we hope that stay with us for a very long time to come. I would liuke to thank all the girls involved in making this possible as it was worth every minute to make you smile Joan xxxxx

A busy week and a sick child and hubby

I have been so busy this week its really hard to believe its just wednesday!! I have managed to fir in four days of ecercise since sunday and even though my legs are very sore im really quite enjoying it!! I started on saturday morning and did a kick boxing fitness dvd with Leon we are trying to get us both fitter by the time we go to Ireland for him its to help for me its to get back into some of the jeans i have folded at the bottom of my wardrope lol!!! Jake had his friend Sean stay over again saturday night that was fun there was four of us to have a bash on sing star and the karaoke machine that was better as the teams were more even that usual!! I should of thought then when Donny went upstairs to watch tv that something wasnt right with him then again when he watched the grand prix up there all afternoon on sunday leaving me to stitch and watch the notebook (which i would really recomend if you love to watch a fantasic love story i really enjoyed it). Well he got steadly worse through sunday night he has a really bad chest infection he is coughing really bad and breathing worse and looks awful even walking short distances is wearing him out. I have told him i think he needs to go to the drs but he is insistant he is taking enough medication so i just have to keep a very close eye on him and see how he goes i guess.

Monday i was busy again did another dvd when i got up well some of Davinas new one until i got inturupted i was kinda glad i have to admit as my legs where still aching from the kick boxing one!! I managed to get a whole lot of cleaning done this morning you know sometimes i think i make work from nowhere when it really doesnt need doing!! I also managed to get somemore done on my firy who is starting to take some shape at last. I went to collect the boys from school and then we went up to town to finally go collect my pool cover which at long last had been delivered into wilkinsons it seemed to take for ever. Yesterday morning i got up and when the boys had gone to school i had a go of yet another fitness dvd i just hope i can keep this up!! I then did all the cleaning, washing and ironing

and then sat and watched a dvd and stitched for a little while. When the boys came home from school Jake helped me cut down the hedge in the front garden and then we went down to the local recycling place with the branches and other stuff we were clearing from the garden. When i got back i was having a cuppa and i looked across at Leon who was sat on the sofa on the laptop chatting on msn to his friends and he really didnt look right i asked him if he was ok and he said no within minutes he has running to the bathroom to be sick. H e then went to bed and slept right through from 5.30pm untill 7.30am this morning needless to say he is home from school for the day today. After food i decided to go out the back and start trying to cut down the trees in the back garden i was out there until 10pm lastnight i have cut down 6 huge black bag fuuls and id say there is at least another 20 if not more to do you can see a slight difference but not very much at all they are now waiting for me to take them to the recycling place too.

Well with Leon home today and Donny still not doing great i think i will have an easy day today i think i may need it lol. I have told Jake i need to go shopping later and he will prob get a text from me to meet me after school.

What a wet day

We have been having such lovely weather the last week it seems starnge and unusal to have it so wet here!!! yes i know im in Wales ut still lmao!! Here is a photo i took of the sky last night before the rain came in isnt it beaautiful it was so pink i had to take this to show the boys as they were at cadets I have been so lucky this week when it comes to stash arriving in the mail fisrt was this amazing package that arrived from Kathy on the smo board i was just trying to help move along her contest whan i was choosen as the winner i was so pleased!!!! i was even more pleased when i opened the package yesterday morning and i seen all the lovely floss inside i feel so spoilt thankyou so much Kathy it was much much more than i ever expected to recieve!!!I also recieved thsi morning my exchange parcel from Sandra for the summer exchange i have been running for Helga on her yahoo group trying to help her out since she made me a moderator. I was amazed to see what Sandra had stitched for me it really is beautiful and i have never ever seen anything llike it before its like a stitched pencil case with a zip its beautiful!!! i love it so much i really do and all the goodies you have sent me i do feel really really spoilt thankyou so so much!! i also love the magazine you sent me too xxx

We have a really wet miserable day as i said its still so warm but yuck. Jakes friend is staying over with us tonight Jake was going to be going there but it was easier for me to have him this time which is fine as he is a lovely child he really is it will be great to have a forth to play sing start with us for a change lol at the moment he is in Seans house with him and they will be returning later this evening. Leon is upstairs playing ufc on the 360 so its nice and peaceful for the time being i am making the most of it listening to my cds!!

At the beach today

The boys were back at school today and so Donny and I decided to go for a walk down to Llanelli beach which is something we havent done for a while it only takes about 10-15 minutes to walk there and it was still so hot and lovely we thought it would be nice even though his poor eyes are paying for it tonight the hospital has said he needs to try go out in the sun and he has very strong sun glasses but its still so painful for him and i bet he will be paying for it worse tomorrow but it was still nice to get out for a little while just the two of us. We have had a lovely weekend in the garden in the sun and enjoying the pool we had a bbq last night first one for this year and it was really lovely although playing truth or dare with a 12 and 13 year old can seriously be scary if not so funny!!!!! it was brill!!!!

I thought it maybe nice to show you how fantastic it is to have a beach at walking distance this is where Leon was all day on saturday with his friends.

Its a shame the tide was out maybe next time i can show you the sea too!!!

This is where i met Donny 17 years ago just a few days ago wow its quick how time flies i guess thats why we should all stop and take time to remember where we used to spend our time when we were growing up if we can as places get changed so much these days its a shame sometimes.
