last day :-)

Today is our last day here and i am so excited to think we will be home tomorrow i cant wait!!!!! But first i m going to enjoy the last day here.

We went to hve a breakfast this morning and then we went to the beach this morning it was 9am and so warm the best day we have had since arriving here :-)

We had a brilliant two hours laying on the beach and going in the sea its been the nicest part of the daytime just chilling out with good friends :-) It took us a while to find this part of the bech but it was well worth the walk.

Then we ll went back to the hotel for the kids to go in the pool this is Leon and Kayleigh in the cold pool its gret how they dont feel it s much as we do lol but we all went in both pools :-) Then we went down to the strip to do our last minute shopping before we leave tomorrow then we went for dinner before coming back and going back in the pool :-)

In the evening me and Andrea decided to finish off the last of the wine we hd left so we were sitting by the pool when Kayleigh came running over to tell us that Leon had fallen down the steps he was ok thankfully just bumped his back. As it was starting to get cold we decided to go sit in reception and there we st with Mark and some of the other children from the team. Andrea sked if we were all looking foward to going home which of course we ll were. Within 5 minutes i was approached by the two welsh coaches and was shouted at in front of everyone for complaining about the trip nd being miserable and segregating people from the team i was shocked i hd no idea where this had come from because as far as i was concerned id had a great week and i wasnt the only peorson who choose not to stay in the hotel every night so i ws confused and hurt. But after talking to the people i had spent time with they were also confused so i have decided i dont care what they think im me and if you dont like it dont bother with me i know who i am and i know who i like and the people that spent time with me are the only ones who know how much fun we had so i dont care :-)

Day 5

Well today is the lst day of the comp and i have to say the four of us arent exactly looking our best this morning after lst night which isnt gret as we have a very long day today and its boiling lol. We went long to wtch the final fights but was big gap inbetween so we went up to our fave cafe for some much needed food to soak up the night before lol. When we got back there ws one fight left so we managed to watch everything. When it was done Leon decided to go into that hotels out door pool for a bit which wasnt gret for me cos i was sitting wtching him constantly getting covered in black flies there were everywhere weither its because this hotel is right on the beach im not sure but i manged to drag him out so we could get back to our hotel as there is the party tonight as the comp is now all over.

We travelled down to the party tonight which was very unorganised and very expensive so well decided to walk back down to the strip and go elsewhere.Everyone seemed to go thier own ways from here for food ect so me Mark Wayne and the kids headed for the place we went to last night were Leon did karaoke which was very cute :-) Everyone was so tired after the night before that it wasnt as much fun this time so we started heding back when we bumped into Jonny Lindsey and their kids Ryan Daniella and Zara. We stayed with them for a bit while Jonny sang karaoke then made our way back when Brandon decided he wnted to stay in out room with Leon tonight which was no problem :-)

Day 4

Well new day new start i guess. I have decided i am going to try have some fun today and to hell with anyone who doesnt like it. We are going down to watch the comp today but hopefully we can leave early and guess what!!!! looks like its gonna be a nice day :-)

We got to leve quite early today our little group with a few others who came to eat with us we hd a nice meal and me and Andrea had a glass or wine too and on the way back we re going to get some sangria and sit and have a few glasses by the pool :-)

Kaye decided to join us in out few glasses by the pool so she was with us with her husband Paul and her children Joohn-Paul and Ellie and Wayne had a few drinks with us too :-) We also had Lindsey and Rachel and Mark join us which was nice. Me and Andrea even went into the outdoor pool which was really really cold almost icy lol just like the garden pool at home :-) then we went indoors in the heated pool whiched opened uptoday.

We then deicided we were going to go down to the strip for a few drinks as we hadnt been anywhere yet so off we went me,Leon,Andrea,Kayleigh,Mark,Wayne,Jordan,Brandon and Liam tagged along uninvited. We had a fantastic night dancing singing playing pool we acully got the chnce to let our hair down without worrying what everyone though it was fantastic :-) untill the kids dragged us back to the hotel about half 10 that was lol. Wayne and Brandon came with me and Leon for a glass of wine before we all headed off to bed last day tomorrow then its all over xxx

Day 3

Today is Leons fight. The day could of not started off worse for me with one of the other parents deciding to have a go at me for no reson at all and think that is perfectly fine when i have done nothing but hey thats life i guess i seem to always get the blame for something i havent done and to be honest these people re not the type worth bothering about anyway. We walked upto the fighting hotel the weather still isnt too good still quite wet and cool but thats supposed to change soon so theres hope for that.

Leon had his fight second year in a row hes had a boy a lot taller and heavier than him he did an fantasic job but unfortunitly didnt win this time but hey you cant win everytime and i am just so proud of him for trying i really am :-) And he is so happy with the fact he did his best he enjoyed himself.

I spoke to Donny and Jake on skype today and after a very hard day i have to say i am missing them both so so much and knowing im not traveling home till thursday is weighing heavily on me tonight its one of them times when you know you need a cuddle but half of the people you love are thusands of miles away and the guilt of going away and leaving them home isnt helping either. Well im going to bed now and im hoping that tomorrow is a better day for both me and Leon xxxx

Day 2

Today the contest beginings four days of it. The opening ceromony is this morning and then the fights start . Leon isnt fighting until tomorrow so today we will be supporting the rest of the team. When we get back to the hotel we will be going down to the strip to have a look at the shops.

Day 1

This morning we traveled down to the fighting hotel to register and pay for the fight. Also the team Wales photo wss taken. Its a dull morning here not that warm either we have also had some rain just like being at home lol. As you can see from the photo.

When we arrived back at the hotel me and Leon decided along with my cousion Andrea and her daughter Kayleigh, Mark, and Wayne and his sons Jordan and Brandon to go for a walk to see what we could discover :-) Our little group is made up of all those who have left loved ones at home and we all can cheer each other up :-) It started off quite warm so we were all wearing tshirts and shorts....big mistake!!!!! While we were out it absolutly hammered down lol the roads turned to rivers within seconds i dont think i have ever ever seen so much rain fall so quickly at one time!!!!!!!! we were all like drowned rats bout a mile away from the hotel with no were to shelter I thought it was funny i think i was the only one hehehe

We have arrived!!!!

After a delay in taking off at Bristol because of the strike in France we have touched down safely in Portugal. Leon was more frightened than me he started to panic when we were getting on to the plane but i managed to calm him down eventually I really dont think the hour wait we had sitting on the plne helped his nerves very much but once the plane started moving he was just fine :-) It was a fantastic experience and we both loved every minute off it and cant wait for the flight home!!!!

We have lovely room which is pleanty big enough for the two of us but its been very long day and night so we are off to bed nite nite xxx

Here we go!!!!!!

Tonight is the night that we fly to Portugal for the world kickboxing championships. Its just me and Leon going and to be honest yes I am little frightened after all it is a whole new experience to the both of us so it would be silly to say we were not afraid of the unexpected lol. But t the same time i am totally looking foward to the thought of trying something that i never have done before. We are leaving here at 1.30am and getting on the plane at 6.20am in Bristol and arriving in Portugal at 9am wish us luck!!!!

Stitchy slump

To be honest these days all that seems to take up my time is kickboxing if im not there supporting Leon i am doing it or driving my husband back and fore between classes and fund raising and events i dont feel like KAY anymore just the person who is at the club. If im honest ive been feeling like this for a while but i feel guilty if i think about some me time is that so worng??? I dont know i know i need to get Leon sponsored up in time to go to Portugal but i am also the person who everyone turns to when they need some help qhich i guess i dont mind i am a peoples person well thats what i like to think i am always happy to help so should i stop whinging and get on with it???? HHHMMMM maybe lol. But i miss my crafting and stitching sssssssssssssssoooooooooooooo much ah well maybe one day hey..............

Charlies quilt

Rose asked me and the girls on my board to make a quilt for her nephew as he is ill and being the type of girls we are of course how could we say no :-) This is my design i made it myself as Charlie loves karaoke I have to be honest i havent designed much myself but hey i liked it lol

Louise Sarah and Barb also stitched a square along with Rose of course and Charlie was lucky enough to have both sides filled up.

And here he is all cwtched up in it. We are all so glad you liked it Charlie!!! Stay strong xxxx

Happy Anniversary Donny

Wow time flies i really cant believe we have been married for 15 years today and that we have been together almost 19 years its the longest i have ever held anyone this close to me . You were the first person i really let into my heart im always so unsure of people and most of the time i get hurt when i do let people in. Im not saying its all been a bed of roses everyone has difficault times but ours seem to be when other people are involoved more than anything else but we have proved so many people wrong and we are still together and i just want you to know how much i love you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy birthday Jake!!!!

Well my baby is 15 today where does the time go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soon youll be grown up and gone and my ears will hurt from the silence hehehe only joking my babe you know how much i love you!! Youve changed so much these last 6months all moody and long hair and dark clothes the music you listern to is so dark you and your friends all look alike too even the girls but when your with me your the same Jake. Have a wonderful day huni we love you loads xxxxxxxxx

WKC Welsh championship

Today was the welsh kickboxing championships which was a really busy day for me I was at the hall before 9am and wasnt getting home untill 9.30pm. I didnt realise how much work goes into organising a championships we were there most of yesterday afternoon getting the place ready for today and then i spent the whole day either time keeping scoring the points fights and then being Leons coach which i was so please to have him win all three that i coached him with :-) the only one he lost i wasnt in his corner lol

here he is winning silver in the points catagory.And here he is winning gold in the light continuos catagory. The photos are thanks to Jake who took all the photos and video footage on the day and did a fantastic job. Now we know Leon has got into the welsh team we have to start fund rasing for him to get him to Portugal for the world championships in october :-)

sponsored walk

Today we had a sponsored walk from Llanelli beach to Burry Port harbour to raise funds for the junior welsh kick boxing team. We had a beautiful warm day it was more like summer than spring the sun came out to shine on us as we walked well Leon cycled lol but it was great fun there was around 60 of us on the walk and even Jake and his friends came with us.

I was a little worried that i wouldnt be able to make it the whole distannce with my ankle but i did and was just so glad i could :-). All my photos are on facebook if you want to go take a look.

I havent been around much lately ive got Leon home he was attacked by a group of children for no reason and its been nothing but hospital appointments since it seems like an extra long half term holidays for him buut it mans we either have to take him everywhere or leave him home which at the momment i dont like doing either his face was a mess and the school have been no help just feels like we are going around in circles. The school tell us report it to the police the police say its a school matter even though things are happening both inside of school and out. The world is changing too fast for my liking and things where never this bad when i was a child i just dont know what to to next i really dont.

Happy birthday Leon!!!!

I can hardly believe that my baby is 13 today where does the time go.... it doesnt seem that long ago i was cradling you in my arms and bringing you home to meet your little brother and now i have two teenages in the house well it seems like 5 or 6 when all your and Jakes friends are over most days lol. I hope the years slow down a bit so i get to keep you young that little bit longer happy birthday babe we love you xxxxx

Happy birthday to me!!!!

I cant believe how quickly this year is flying by. I just wanted to come on and say a big thankyou to everyone who has made my birthday so special this year especially as it hasnt been the best start with the children being ill my hubby having another fright with his vision and my accident oh yeah and did i mention all the snow!!!!!! LOL

I had a nice day we did have a two hour class of kickboxing mind you but it gave me the chance to sit and chat with my friends so that wasnt so bad. I was spoilt this year i have to say Jake bought me a lovely necklace and Leon bought me some chocolates and candles. Donny got me sing star take that and i love it so much remembering all the old songs that really made me smile :-) i will be getting a new laptop too and thats something i really do need!!! My friends from kcikboxing Rachel and Leighton got me some chocolates and vodka lol they know what i like!!!! My friend Debbie baked me a cake and made me a lovely card i also got cards from Amy and Stella at the club. I recieved a lovely parcel from my dear friend Nicky with some new halloween charts she knows what i like :-) some krenick and beads and a lovely shade of nail vanish. My dad also gave me some money which i plan to use on singstore which will make me happy :-)

So in all i had a fantastic day :-) especially when my hubby made me a wonderful meal that night too i was just sad that the boys werent feeling very well it was a shame nevermind i will get to have some of my cake tomorrow!!!!!

Another kickboxing contest

It seems these days all i ever seem to write about is kickboxing or stitching looks like thats all thats ever going on here i guess and more often than not it is just kickboxing!!!! My youngest son is really enjoying it but i think that my hubby is enjoying it even more lol. I was enjoying it before my accident but as i have now sat out for almost 5 weeks my intrest seems to be growing less and less enthusiastic i have to say i guess sitting watching and just being able to chat seems like the easier option it just seems to look like hard work now...i guess this is my lazy side raising its head again. I am getting around better and i am at long last able to just about manage to drive and i can walk with out my crutches but i am still struggling with steps espically coming down them and slopes. I have also stopped wearing my bandage and my foot is quite close to looking like it should. But the thought of going back next month im just not sure if or when i will be ready..

Here is how well Leon did he had a second and a third place even though he had an asthma attack during his second contest he did amazing well especially as it was the first attack he has ever suffered he was very brave and we are very proud of him. Even if the whole contest was a complete shambles. We arrived in Ely in Cardiff at 9am as the contest was supposed to start at 10am but it didnt get started untill almsot 1pm the children had lost all thier spark and were so fed up i realy am supprised that they all did so fantasticly well. Well done everyone xx

Happy Valentines day

As a rule my hubby and i dont do valentines day never really have we have decided that we dont need a comercial holiday where it forces people to buy gifts and cards to say i love you. If you truly love someone you should show them these everyday just by the things you do and say. But i know that there are a lot of people who do and to those of you i want to wish you a happy day :-). W e had a busy day with two hours of kick boxing as usual on a sunday which i walked to today for the first time without use of my crutches and i am so so pleased i managed it!!!!! My ankle is still quite swollen and brusied and sore to the touch after my accident but i am managing to get around slowly with stairs still being my biggest difficaultly and the moment and still not being able to bend my ankle very much means i am still not able to drive my car which is very annoying i must say i am beging to wonder if after not being started or moved for three weeks now it will even work when i am ready to try drive it. I did have a lovely evening though i had some wine and some chocolate and sat down and watched twilight it was perfect i hope you all enjoyed too xx

It was out friends at kickboxing anniversary today to i made them a card. This is my first ever attempt at a 3d card and was unsure about having a go to begin with but after i was very glad that i did and i am very pleased with the finish. I think i will be trying more of these out in the near future.

Snow sal finished!!!

Im so pleased with myself here is my second finish for 2010 which keeps me so far so good up with my own challenges!!! I do have to admit that i do need to turn this into an orniment but at least its done 2 down only 22 to go for the rest of the year!!!!!
