Charlies quilt

Rose asked me and the girls on my board to make a quilt for her nephew as he is ill and being the type of girls we are of course how could we say no :-) This is my design i made it myself as Charlie loves karaoke I have to be honest i havent designed much myself but hey i liked it lol

Louise Sarah and Barb also stitched a square along with Rose of course and Charlie was lucky enough to have both sides filled up.

And here he is all cwtched up in it. We are all so glad you liked it Charlie!!! Stay strong xxxx

Happy Anniversary Donny

Wow time flies i really cant believe we have been married for 15 years today and that we have been together almost 19 years its the longest i have ever held anyone this close to me . You were the first person i really let into my heart im always so unsure of people and most of the time i get hurt when i do let people in. Im not saying its all been a bed of roses everyone has difficault times but ours seem to be when other people are involoved more than anything else but we have proved so many people wrong and we are still together and i just want you to know how much i love you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy birthday Jake!!!!

Well my baby is 15 today where does the time go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soon youll be grown up and gone and my ears will hurt from the silence hehehe only joking my babe you know how much i love you!! Youve changed so much these last 6months all moody and long hair and dark clothes the music you listern to is so dark you and your friends all look alike too even the girls but when your with me your the same Jake. WKC Welsh championship

Today was the welsh kickboxing championships which was a really busy day for me I was at the hall before 9am and wasnt getting home untill 9.30pm. I didnt realise how much work goes into organising a championships we were there most of yesterday afternoon getting the place ready for today and then i spent the whole day either time keeping scoring the points fights and then being Leons coach which i was so please to have him win all three that i coached him with :-) the only one he lost i wasnt in his corner lol

here he is winning silver in the points catagory.And here he is winning gold in the light continuos catagory. The photos are thanks to Jake who took all the photos and video footage on the day and did a fantastic job. Now we know Leon has got into the welsh team we have to start fund rasing for him to get him to Portugal for the world championships in october :-)

sponsored walk

Today we had a sponsored walk from Llanelli beach to Burry Port harbour to raise funds for the junior welsh kick boxing team. We had a beautiful warm day it was more like summer than spring the sun came out to shine on us as we walked well Leon cycled lol but it was great fun there was around 60 of us on the walk and even Jake and his friends came with us.

I was a little worried that i wouldnt be able to make it the whole distannce with my ankle but i did and was just so glad i could :-). All my photos are on facebook if you want to go take a look.

I havent been around much lately ive got Leon home he was attacked by a group of children for no reason and its been nothing but hospital appointments since it seems like an extra long half term holidays for him buut it mans we either have to take him everywhere or leave him home which at the momment i dont like doing either his face was a mess and the school have been no help just feels like we are going around in circles. The school tell us report it to the police the police say its a school matter even though things are happening both inside of school and out. The world is changing too fast for my liking and things where never this bad when i was a child i just dont know what to to next i really dont.

Happy birthday Leon!!!!

I can hardly believe that my baby is 13 today where does the time go.... it doesnt seem that long ago i was cradling you in my arms and bringing you home to meet your little brother and now i have two teenages in the house well it seems like 5 or 6 when all your and Jakes friends are over most days lol. I hope the years slow down a bit so i get to keep you young that little bit longer happy birthday babe we love you xxxxx

Happy birthday to me!!!!

I cant believe how quickly this year is flying by. I just wanted to come on and say a big thankyou to everyone who has made my birthday so special this year especially as it hasnt been the best start with the children being ill my hubby having another fright with his vision and my accident oh yeah and did i mention all the snow!!!!!! LOL

I had a nice day we did have a two hour class of kickboxing mind you but it gave me the chance to sit and chat with my friends so that wasnt so bad. I was spoilt this year i have to say Jake bought me a lovely necklace and Leon bought me some chocolates and candles. Donny got me sing star take that and i love it so much remembering all the old songs that really made me smile :-) i will be getting a new laptop too and thats something i really do need!!! My friends from kcikboxing Rachel and Leighton got me some chocolates and vodka lol they know what i like!!!! My friend Debbie baked me a cake and made me a lovely card i also got cards from Amy and Stella at the club. I recieved a lovely parcel from my dear friend Nicky with some new halloween charts she knows what i like :-) some krenick and beads and a lovely shade of nail vanish. My dad also gave me some money which i plan to use on singstore which will make me happy :-)

So in all i had a fantastic day :-) especially when my hubby made me a wonderful meal that night too i was just sad that the boys werent feeling very well it was a shame nevermind i will get to have some of my cake tomorrow!!!!!

Another kickboxing contest

It seems these days all i ever seem to write about is kickboxing or stitching looks like thats all thats ever going on here i guess and more often than not it is just kickboxing!!!! My youngest son is really enjoying it but i think that my hubby is enjoying it even more lol. I was enjoying it before my accident but as i have now sat out for almost 5 weeks my intrest seems to be growing less and less enthusiastic i have to say i guess sitting watching and just being able to chat seems like the easier option it just seems to look like hard work now...i guess this is my lazy side raising its head again. I am getting around better and i am at long last able to just about manage to drive and i can walk with out my crutches but i am still struggling with steps espically coming down them and slopes. I have also stopped wearing my bandage and my foot is quite close to looking like it should. But the thought of going back next month im just not sure if or when i will be ready..

Here is how well Leon did he had a second and a third place even though he had an asthma attack during his second contest he did amazing well especially as it was the first attack he has ever suffered he was very brave and we are very proud of him. Even if the whole contest was a complete shambles. We arrived in Ely in Cardiff at 9am as the contest was supposed to start at 10am but it didnt get started untill almsot 1pm the children had lost all thier spark and were so fed up i realy am supprised that they all did so fantasticly well. Well done everyone xx

Happy Valentines day

As a rule my hubby and i dont do valentines day never really have we have decided that we dont need a comercial holiday where it forces people to buy gifts and cards to say i love you. If you truly love someone you should show them these everyday just by the things you do and say. But i know that there are a lot of people who do and to those of you i want to wish you a happy day :-). W e had a busy day with two hours of kick boxing as usual on a sunday which i walked to today for the first time without use of my crutches and i am so so pleased i managed it!!!!! My ankle is still quite swollen and brusied and sore to the touch after my accident but i am managing to get around slowly with stairs still being my biggest difficaultly and the moment and still not being able to bend my ankle very much means i am still not able to drive my car which is very annoying i must say i am beging to wonder if after not being started or moved for three weeks now it will even work when i am ready to try drive it. I did have a lovely evening though i had some wine and some chocolate and sat down and watched twilight it was perfect i hope you all enjoyed too xx

It was out friends at kickboxing anniversary today to i made them a card. This is my first ever attempt at a 3d card and was unsure about having a go to begin with but after i was very glad that i did and i am very pleased with the finish. I think i will be trying more of these out in the near future.

Snow sal finished!!!

Im so pleased with myself here is my second finish for 2010 which keeps me so far so good up with my own challenges!!! I do have to admit that i do need to turn this into an orniment but at least its done 2 down only 22 to go for the rest of the year!!!!!

My kick boxing accident

This is what happened to me after i had an accident in kickboxing on sunday i had only been doing class for 10 mins but i still had some of my cold i shopuld of known better i wasnt 100% i should of sat out but i didnt want to i guess i paying for it now. This was in the hspital about an hour and a half later and this is on tuesday

First fiish of 2010

Here she is my halloween fairy that seems to have taken sooooooo long to acually get completed lol!!! My stitching time has seemed so far and few between grasped moments that i can hardly believe i am able to show the completed project at long last!! I am however a little disapointed that i have been unable to show you how sparkly and well beaded she is the photo just doest seem to do her much justice at all but at least you get to see her finally. Thankyou Louise for sending me the mchart so so much and thankyou Tonya for the gv from which i was able to get all the beads :-)

snow sal

This month on my board is snow month i guess its after all the snow we have had to deal with this month it just seemed to be the right theme to run with!!!! I choose a smo design for my sal and have made a start with the lettering what do you think

Happy new year!!!

I just wanted to wish you all a very happy healthy and love filled 2010!!!!!!!

2009 hasnt been a bad year for me i traveled with my youngest son to a world championships in a sport he had only been doing 6 months when he became a double welsh champion and then won a world bronze medal after just a year he has also done 4 belts and will be going for his fifth in february he has also won several other trophoes from competitions i wish him all the luck with all future contests we are all VERY proud of him well done Leon xx

Jake has done very well with his exams and got to choose all his subjects for his gcses being top band in school and working hard to keep himself there is something we are also all VERY proud of and he is still trying to learn to play guitar im sure he will get there one day lol!!!

At the end of 2009 Donnys eyes seem to be improving he can see a lot more close up out of one eye but still just a tiny glipse of colour out of the other at the moment so it seems a much brighter path he is heading along so thats all good too.

I have had a good year i enjoyed treaveling with Leon and the team and even walked out as part of the team at the world championships that was something else lol!!! I have achived my first kickboxing belt even thought it was something i never thought i would do and i am now attending classes three times a week hopefully during 2010 it will help me shape up more ..hopefully ..mind you so would laying off the crisps and wine but i cant do that lol!!! i havent done as much as i would of liked to on the craft side but with the house getting a make over and Donny and the boys to take care of i guess i just havent had the time gonna try to do more though new year new start..........

Merry christmas

Its almost time for santa

I can hardly believe it is christmas eve already where has this year gone wow it just seems to go quicker and quicker with each year it realy does. We are almost all ready here all the shopping is done and now its just time to spend time with my boys and relax. I would like to say a big thankyou to all those who took the time and effort in sebnding me a christmas card i seem to always be sending out some sort of card to someone lol but the prices are getting silly now with the post office so this will be the last year i make an effort to send to someone who doesnt have the time to send one to me it just doesnt seem like making the effort of making the card to some people who dont even say thankyou sometimes is worth the effort a bit harsh maybe....yes i know its the time for giving but thaankyou aways goes a long way hey.

Thankyou Rose for sending me these lovely gifts i really wasnt expecting them so it makes it so special that you thought of me this way i really do hope you and John have a wonderful holidays together.
And thankyou Nicky for the wonderful gifts that you sent me they are under my tree untill tomorrow morning and i cant hardly wait to see what i have hun xxx

This years christmas cards

Here are the christmas cards i made for my sons for christmas the one on the left os for Leon as he is always the joker of the two boys even though both cards are funny this one made me laugh the most when i first found the design and i knew i HAD to make them into cards for my boys. The one on the right is for Jake as this is the type of thing he would do when taking a photo lol xx.It had been a very long while since i picked up a needle and i did really enjoy stitching these cards i really need to try make more time to do more as i have really missed it so much.

When i first seen this design in cross stitcher i had to stitch it into a card for my dh for xmas but i did not count on having to do it twice so bewarned now!!!!!!! if you are stitching it for anyone who is an avid liverpool fc supporter just dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
apartantly its an everton mont and its the last thing they want lol so i had to re do it so it acually looked like a humbug lol x

Here i am being awarded my red belt. I was so nervous but at the same time happy i managed to acually do something by myself for myself :-)

Another kickboxing competition

This sunday our club traveled upto Cardiff for a kickboxing competition. Donny travelled up with Leon and the coach and his daughter and her boyfriend and i satyed home with Jake and went to help Rachel out with the kickboxing club. Leon competed in two events the first was point scoring . This isnt Leons strongest one and he won silver. Unfortunitly after traveling all they way up the three boys pictures who are all in our club had to all fight each other, But they all did very well.
The second fight that Leon was in is the light contitnuous which is his stronger one. Here he won a gold and we are very very proud of him.Hmmmm think im gonna have to buy a bigger cupbiard though as together with his and Jakes rugby awards im gonna start running out of space lol!!!!

Tonights the night

As i write this my hands are shaking im so so nervous i dont know why i really dont!!! its not like im the only one whos going to be there doing it almost the whole room is afterall but i just cant escape the knot that is tightening in my stomach the more today turns closer into this evening. This was never part of the plan then again none of it really was from the start so i didnt plan on this happening at all!!! Incase you are wondering i am standing up tonight in a room full of people and performing my kata to try and get my red belt in kickboxing and i am dreading every minute of it!!!! I stood up in front of all the people that are going to be there and a whole lot more singing at the karaoke party but this....this is so so different!!!!!! Please wish me luck i will find out on wednesday how i did xxx

parents evening

Tonight was Leons turn to shine as it was his parents evening the only thing is with his world championships and all the time he has had off ill since weve been back there really wasnt much they can tell me apart from he is a really clever boy and deserves his place in the top set where he is. His only downfall is he likes to chat a bit too much lol sounds just like his mum hey!!!! xx Now we just have to wait for Jakes.

deck the halls!!!!!!!

Tonight is our town carnival night, We have a procession of brightly lite floats fireworks and the turning on of our town lights. But as friday is also our kickboxing night we didnt go as it was raining and freeing cold and with Leon and myself just getting over this flu and chest infections we have had since returning home from Dublin this proberly was the best idea all round so we decided although our carnival was a week earlier this year we would still do up our home ready for the coming holidays. Back to Wales

Here are team wales photo taken at the wkc world championships and if you look closly enough you will be bale to see Leon in the front row wearing his fighting kit and me in the back row lol

As a part of the team i had to be in the photo and the prosession it was quite a strange thing to do i have to admit not being an acual fighter but it was a very brilliant thing to do to and i loved every moment of it.
Out of such a small team i am very happy to say we were lucky enough to come homw with 5 medals and i am very proud to say that Leon was one of those who did a fantastic job and brought home a medal here he is
i have uploaded lots of photos of the fighting and dublin to my multiply for you to go take a look at we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to the welsh qualifiers next march when we will find out if Leon will be going to Holland next year x

Ok i know you know im not here but i just wanted to show you the little exchange that Louise and i did with each other i really missed not joining in the ones i always do but it just wouldnt of been fair this year as i have just been far far too busy with everything else. I can hardly believe we will be leaving for Dublin tomorrow night and i am still so scared of getting on the boat you wouldnt believe!!!! i guess as it is the middle of the night i am even more nervous of the 3 and a half hour sea crossing as i wont even be able to look out!!! we are leaving Llanelli at 11pm and will be arriving at the weighing at the hotel where the fighting will be taking place at 10.30am the next moring. Leon is all excited but is also a bit nervous of getting onto the boat i am just worried about leaving Donny and Jake at home but i am hopeful all will go well i hope you all have a great halloween take care and will speak to you all soon xxxx

Halloween party

We had a wonderful halloween party at the kickboxing as a good luck to the welsh team and a bog thankyou to all those who have helped us with getting us all there i have uploaded lots and lots of photos to me multiply so please if you have the time go take a little look also on my facebook. There was lots of things to do trick or treats dancing and karaoke and it really did help to bring the team together a wonderful night was had by all :-)

Its almost here!!!

Dont you just love halloween lol i know i do and i have been making brasclets for the children at the halloween party i am helping organise for kickboxing what do you think do you think they will like them ... i really do hope so :-)

Where does it all go.....

..... the time that is? i have hardly had time to do anything these days it just seems to be kickboxing kickboxing kickboxing if im not there i am raising funds or organising hhmmmm i sometimes wonder why i throw myself into these things so so deeply....then i remember i am doing it all for my son...my wonderful son who is so talented i cannot leave him go and no nothing with his life when he has such an amaing gift. I hope that jake starts to do this too so that then i can spend more time with him but his life just seems to involve msn and his new friends these days and he has little time for anyone or anything else but hopefully thats just a phase teenagers hey dont you just love em lol.

Happy anniversary

i would like to wish my wonderful husband a fantastic day today we have been through so much and i am amazed to think it has been 14 years we have been married we have been together for over half my life and i love him so much i really dont think i could imagine it with out him. So heres to you babe may we have many many more to go xxxxx

Pembrey car show.

Today we went with Rachel Lyndon and thier family who are Leons girllfriend Emilys parents to the Pembrey car show the weather was wet windy and cold but the boys seemed to enjoy the cars where i prefered the fair lol. It was nice to have a day out but to be honest this weather really isnt much of a fun way to spend thier summer break its like last year all over agin. The pool has just sat in the garden for most of the summer lonely and unused as it just hasnt been hot at all.

I have so neglected everything lately i havent picked up a needle in months i am never going to get my fairy finished my halloween this year. My decorating has been neglected i feel like everything around me is just kickboxing these days but i guess it will calm down when we come home from Dublin.I have found a new friend in Emilys mum though and it has been great getting to know her this last few weeks and she has been dragging me out much more than i am used to lol thats nice too!!!

Party in Penyfan park

Today we were at Party in Penyfan park running a bake sale for the kickboxing team doing fund raising again!! Yes sometimes this does seem never ending but we are trying so so hard to get the kids over to the world championships for free but it is taking a lot of work. We did quite well even though it was raining on and off all day and it was quite cold at times but we struggled through :-). We were there just after 9am and stayed right up untill 7pm and did make over £127.00 which was fantastic and goes toward the fund so it was all worthwhile.

While we were there Leon and his girl firend Emily decided they would go backing for Emilys sister Aimee in the Penyfans got talent contest here is the result lol yes my Leon is the one in the purple dress and blonde wig sit back have a giggle and enjoy!!!!

The welsh kick boxing team on the BBC

A few weeks ago i wrote to BBC Wales to ask if they could do a spot on the programme to help with fund raising and Sian Lloyd got in touch and they came down to interview the children here it is enjoy!!!!

Busy busy busy

I am still having problems finding time to fit everything i need to be into my days at the momment and with the boys being home for the summer holidays that isnt helping but at the same time it is lovely to have them home when i get to see them that is!!! I have been so so busy trying to get things done to help with Leons team to try and get as much funds in to help the children go to the world championships for as little cost as possible it has been truely time consuming but i have made 5 minutes for myself to come on here while i can as i will be starting kick boxing with Leon this afternoon to try help me along with my weight loss which hasnt been doing too well i have to admit i seem to be getting smaller but its just not showing on the scales which is a little frustrating i have to admit!! I am dreading it mind lol!!!

We went bag packing at our local Tesco last saturday morning for four hours and after a few hours spend counting up the money i am thrilled to be able to announce that we managed to bring in £600.06 which is fantastic!! a great big thankyou goes out to all those who tryed to help support our cause!!! We have made a new website HERE and if you go to events and then past events you will be able to see Leon on the slide show who has now dyed his hair red lol mind you thats an improvement on the purple he had the week before!!!

On Sunday after helping out at the car boot we were at a demenstartion for a charity event to try and help a local boy with a disability to get equipment so he can stay at a local comprehensive school HERE is the video that was taken of Tennassee,Lauren and Leon. Then of course we had kickboxing class after that!!

Wr are also going to be on BBC Wales tonight they are coming down to record us on tuesday afternoon and then we will be shown on the news hopefully that evening i will let you all know as soon as we return on tueday aftrnoon thats going to be exciting as they will be interviewing Leon we are looking foward to watching that!!

I also have my car going for its mot on monday so please keep your fingers crossed for me!! mind you if it fails i suppose ill get fitter quicker having to then walk more lol
