Ho ho ho

You know Jakes going to the christmas lunch with the sea cadets tomorrow? well last night they decided that it was going to be fancy dress!!! yeah real good idea to give us all so much noticeto try and get a costume choosen and made or bought today lol so anyway me and Jake have just been for a walk and look what we just bought ooohhh isnt he cute!!!It wasnt too bad at just £2.49 and it saves me the stress of having to try and get something sorted out for him at such short notice so now he is all ready to go and have some fun :-)

Not like his brother who has already given me grief this morning he has gone out with his friends on his own all the way to town after having his migraine back when he came home from cadets last night i wasnt happy but hes growing up so i have to let him start doing these things at some point i guess they are playing football just down the road from where i grew up so i know where he is and i know at least one of the boys he is with i have told him he needs to be home before its dark as he is walking on his own and he has his phone and i have heard from him 3 times so i know hes ok. I am going to settle down this afternoon and watch the footie and get some stitching done hopefully.

Friday again

These weeks just see to be flying at the moment with christmas lurking a little too close for cofort although saying that we are almost done so i cant grumble too much!!! The wine kit i ordered came back this morning so it is now busy fermenting n the kitchen and if all goes to plan i should have around 28 bottle this time next week!!! oh joy i wont have to worry about buying any untill next year hopefully!!! depends on how quick i drink them lol this is a rose and its lovely much nicer tan the chadonay one we use to make and its done in around 5-7 days too so its reall quick. I gave my christmas cake its weekly top up drink today and i am looking foward to mazipaning it next week as it will be another step closer to seeing it all iced and i cant wait!! i am so looking foward to tasting my first ever christmas cake i have been so tempted to eat it as it seems so nice but so far my will power seems to be hanging on ~ just!!!

We went up to town this afternoon to go take a look at the big sale in woolworths and did manage to spent £20 even though we were just looking!!! saying that i did get some presants bought so its not all bad it just means more packing for me to be doing later. We went back to the car and then up to Morrisons for a few things where i had a call from the school nurse Leon had another migraine so i had to go collect him i was lucky the nurse offered to let Jake leave with us as there was only 25minutes left of school so i didnt have to go back to collect him so i then went back to Morrisons to finish what i started before coming home.

Leons better now and is returning to cadets with Jake tongiht so very soon we will have peace for a few hours which will be nice.

Heroes and stitching

We have had quite a busy week here getting ready still for christmas which seems to be speeding towards us like a roller coaster. On tuesday me and Donny went into tescos and he bought me a poinsettia he tried last year but our dog bud knocked it off the kitchen table and killed it a few days before christmas im hoping this year it lasts at least untill boxing day!!! but i must say even though my kitchen is a disaster with no flooring still it has helped christmas the kitchen up s little!!! Leons school rugby team where playing this week and they have got to the final stage of a local tournament so he is really hoping that he will get a chance to play in the new local stadium i hope so too as he did play in the old one during half time on a live game in the old stadium with the local team he used to play for so this would be fantastic for him!! he could then say he had played in both :-) Jake has had a quiet week as he has exams at school at the moment but he has the christmas walk and dinner with the sea cadets on sunday and then the christmas party coming up a week on friday to which we are all going so that will be nice.I recieved these lovely christmas cards in the mail this morning one from Karyn all the way from Hawaii. And the other from Joan. The one from Joan was part of the christmas card exchange i ran on my board and very impressive for her first attempt at making christmas cards!! i love them both very much thankyou girls!!!!

I have spent most of today home trying to catch up on last seasons heroes as this seasons is slowing filling up on my sky+ box im on the last one now so tomorrow i can start working through my planner as it has been so cold and wet here today i really didnt mind staying home at all!!! and i almost got all the christmas cards stitched for my boys im hoping to have them all done by the weekend.

Sunshine and ice

Today has been so cold everything was white when we got up this morning and even though the heating was on for 3 hours the house just hasnt seemed to warm up at all. Even though the sun came out and was shining so bright which didnt do Donnys eyes any good at all my shed roof and a lot of my street is still frozen and we are looking at more tonight to go on top of what we have already had but at least its dry i guess which means the kids are getting to walk to school. I did almost manage to get Donnys xmas card almost finished this morning while watching last nights desperate housewives just the back stitching left to do then to start on the boys.

I had to remop my floor about 3 times today because the front door kept knocking but we finally have the old ariel which was here when we moved in removed from the roof as it was just dangling there Donnys friend from round the corner who is a roofer came and took it down for us so thats one less worry that it will come through the roof or smashing through the upstairs window.

Well liverpools on the telly tonight so i guess the boys will be all watching that so i may get in some sort of crafting after i have fed everyone maybe ill make somemore xmas cards or decide on my next project!!

Winter wonderland

We got up this morning to a very pretty white winter wonderland no not snow but a very thick frost everything was very white and pretty but also very cold and slippery!! we put the heating on so we were all nice and cosy but now the sun is out shining so strongly that its too warm so we have turned it off again but its taking a while for the frost to clear we were supposed to have heavy fog but thankfully we dont!!

I recieved this beautiful orniment from Louise this morning as part of the rr/ornie exchange its the last one so i have them all now i just need to decide what im going to finish them all as. Thankyou Louise i love it xxxx

We are having a quiet day home today the rugby will be on in a bit so i think we will sit down to watch that after my dad has gone and maybe i can get a new project started!!! we shall see

All frammed!!!

I just wanted to share my santas dragon all frammed!! he is now proudly hanging where my fire dance usually hangs all year long on the shelf in my living room i HAD to have this proudly displayed after the chore it seemed to be stitching it by the end but then again when i look at it it seems well worth all the trouble!!! We will be off out soon to get some parcels out to some friends before its too late for xmas and i need to go to pets at home to get some sawdust for the mice so we are going to be braving the rain and gale force winds we are having here today but it has to be done!!

Where does it all go??

Time that is it just seems to fly by these days here is my baby in his school uniform they only take photos of the year 7 so i dont have one of Jake. It just makes me think they are growning up so fast and yes i know before i know it they will be gone and its a very scary thought but at least i do have a few years left of them yet. I think its turned out lovely and i just wanted to share with you all.

Christmas shopping

It seems the only type of shopping im doing these days!! This morning we had to go down to maplins to get something as the pc was playing up we have avg anti virus aswell and thats been having problems too but its all fixed now thankgod.We went down to trostre retail park we met the boys straight from school there as it is just 2 mins away from the school and we had a look around the shops i got some nice xmassy underware in peacocks well its all just a bit of fun!!! and we went into carephone warehouse for Leon to have another look at the phones before we went and bought one today.So then we slipped into tescos and it was dark by the time we got home so the dog was glad to see us!!!

Today we went down to my dads this morning to take the stuff the boys had choosen so he and my stepmum can see and wrap them before they come down to give them to them on christmas day as usual. Then we went into town and got a lot of more of the boys pressies i just need to wrap them all now and get them under the tree from what i know all we have left to get for them is a man utd top for Leon a phone for Jake some t-shirts and a pair of trainers each for them and i think they are then done!! Maybe there are a few bits and pieces left that i just cant think of right now though. I am really hoping to also try and get the new game *lips* for the xbox 360 and the new singstar for the ps3 mostly for me though cos i just love to sing lol. How are you all doing with your christmas plans so far?

Its cold outside!!!

Well i guess thats what you get living with the beach more or less on your doorstep!!! This afternoon we decided to go for a walk upto town with the children so they could buy wat the wanted with the money my dad had given them for christmas and oh boy was it windy and cold!!! and i realised just after we got half way there i didnt have my pump but luckily i didnt need it!! We went into town and Leon had a load of things for his money including a premiership football (gone are the days when a £1! footie will do!!! lol) he also had the new england football top, a manutd wallet, some hand wraps for kick boxing and a jacket he did really well. Jake on the other hand had a jacket and 2 ps3 games so his bag looked a whole lot smaller lol but they do seem happpy with what they had chosen so thats all that matters. I walked Leon over to kckboxing and then went back to meet Jake and Donny and i had some pressies too which will be going under the tree tonight. We then walked back to meet Leon to walk home and do you know ive had a bath and everything and i still cant walk up!!! roll on summer oh wait winter hasnt started yet LOL

Deck the halls!!!!!

Tonight is our family tradition night.Its the towns christmas carnival tonight its a week earlier than normal as they have the opening match at the new rugby stadium next friday so they moved it foward so we are just a bit earlier!!! Since the children were small we have given up trying to take them to the carnival one of them would end up screamimg at the fireworks and youd have to stand for hours to get a good place to look and then someone would come stand in front of you on the road and its always freezing and yes half the time you get rained on!!! so we opt to stay home have a nice meal put up our decorations and watch a christmas film well we did that sort of xmas anyway lol we atched snow buddies and it was really good too!!! So i will leave you some photos there are more of course in my deck the halls album and there are more to come!!! as we hhave to get some more stuff to add!!

Finally finally finished!!!

I am just so happy to finally have my santas dragon finished just in time to put up my decorations tomorrow!!! I would like to thank Shirley who bought me all the threads for xmas last year and Nicky who bought me the fluffy stuff for santas coat. I would also like to thank Carla for the loan of her chart it was so so kind of her to let me stitch it first!! she can finally have it back so she can now do it her self lol. And finally last but not least id like to thank Heather for collecting the fabric from her local shop for me i think it looks lovely on it.Today is my dear friend Nickys birthday so i made this card for her and she has recieved it in time with her pressie so id just like to say *happy birthday Nicky* i hope you have a fantastic day because you deserve it.

We had a phone call from the school yesterday afternoon Leon had been hurt and they wanted me to collect him at the end of the day as the day was almost over he has a nasty cut on his face but he will live and the school are sorting it out so there is no need for me to get involved in this matter at the moment. He is cooking mince pies in school tomorrow so that will be nice as he doesnt like them there will be more left for the rest of us lol.

Well id better get back to it ive been so busy cleaning windows blinds and noets and i have pulled everything out of my glass cabinet to have everything clean and tidy ready for the christmas decorations to go up i just thought while i was drinking my cuppa id show you all i had finally managed to finishe my dragon

its harder this time beacuse ive already done it once!!!

1. I am terrified of bees and wasps one day while riding my bike down a busy road a wasp flew next to me so i jumped off my bike and ran away!! my sister was laughing so hard at me lol

2. I love to watch football my huusband and two sons are all footie mad so i have gotten used to sitting around watching it and i managed to watch a lot of the european cup this year.

3. I love to sing while driving the car and i do it more so to embaress the kids when they have thier friends in the car lmao.

4. I am always have cold hands and feet it doesnt matter if im wearing socks or not and gloves do nothing!!

5. I dont really like chocolate when i was pregnant with jake i went off it and i have never really gone back to it if i eat a chocolate bar i feel sick afterwards i can eat a bit but not a lot.

6. I love to dress up and have parties with the kids im sooo going to miss it when they no longer want to humor me lol/

Starting to feel more like christmas.

Its our family tradition to decorate our home for christmas on out towns carnival night we tend to not go into town to watch the carnival as it is always so cold and normally raining and for the last few years our boys have been too big to be dragged to town with s to see the floats lol The carnval usually takes place on the last friday of november which isnt too far away to start getting the house all christmassy but this year the carnival has been moved foward one week so it doesnt interfear with the first ever scarlets rugby match at the new stadium so not to brake our family tradition we will be getting our decorations up a week earlier this year so this week i will be busy getting the place all ready.

As we are talking christmas i thought i would show you what we have decided to get the boys this year as they are getting bigger its been so hard trying to decide on what to get them apart froma new phone and clothes so we decided to get them a new pc as the old one they have is so old its so slow and rubbish they have no idea about this though so it will be s total suprise it didnt cost too much either as we built it ourselves and it is better than the one we use!!! here are some photos for you to see.

I do hope they will like it!!! So far though it is the only thing we have got so we really need to get shifting on that front!! I am hoping to be back later or tomorrow with my finished santas dragon the headache ive had for the last three days has slowed down progress but it really will be finished very very soon.

Another week has just gone so fast

I can hardly believe a whole week has passed since i blogged last i guess things have just gone by so fast for me i just havent found the time but never mind i do have a few new things to share with you all while i have five minutes before i have to go out to tescos before the boys come home from school.

My second piece od news to share is Leon with his red belt that he earned in kick boxing we are so very proud of him as he has earned it so quickly as he has only been going a few months he has had it just over a week but now i have finally had the chance to get a photo of him with it for you all to see and as you can see from the smile he is very proud of it too!!!

I do have a lot more news to share but unless i get going i will have the kids in tow to tescos and i really dont want that lol so i will be back later tonight.

A few early christmas pressies!!!!

The last few days my christmas cactus has been in full bloom and they are just soo beautiful that with feeding my christmas cake brandy last night is reall starting to get me in a more christmassy mood!!! arent they just so beautiful?

I also had a wonderful suprise in the mail today an early christmas presant from my very very dear friend Shirley she is such a wonderful lady and i hols a place in my heart for her such a wonderful friend to have thankyou so so much for everything you do for me.Thankyou so much for everything you do for me i am so lucky to have you in my life.

Remebrance day 2008

As you all know my boys have been attending sea cadets and this weekend the rembrance ceromony was held in out local town and this year Jake had the job of handing over a wreath to be layed onto the rembrance statue so me and Leon went to show our support too. Jake was so nervous he managed to spill a hot chocolate that was given to him to keep him warm all over himself not a great start at all. The wind was blowing at gale force and the children got rained on several times but they al kept thier heads up and showed respect at all times and i have 2 videos uploaded to show some of the ceromony and showing Jake and how well he did.

Just after the ceromony was over the thunder stroms came in and we had a whole day and night of them they were so bad we thought at one point we would have water inside the house the lightening was terrific and went on and on for hours we even had hail and belting rain and we still had the gale force winds at one point the lightening was brightening up the whole room i was just so glad we were all home and safe and together it was very frightening.

Its almost the weekend

I thought i wouls show you all a little fo whats been going on with me ive been making somemore christmas cards but im still not finished there yet i still need more!!!

We also went out this week and bought a bird table for the little birds we have been seeing quite a lot of in our garden as its been getting colder we thought it couldnt do any harm to do something nice for them!!! lets just hope it doesnt drive the dog too nuts lol

Another hospital vist.

Today here in the uk is fireworks night and i did have plans to take both my boys down to the last ever fire works display in the Llanelli Scarlets rugby stadium as it is the last ever fireworks display ever to be held there as the team is moving later this month to its new stadium to start its new era it will be much easier for us as the new one is so so much closer to where we live.
Anyway Jake decided he did not want to go so he stayed home with Donny and the dog and i drove me and Leon down and parked within walking disdance to the stadium and we got there by 6.20 which was planty of time as the display was starting at 7pm. Well it didnt start until 7.15pm as there were so many people trying to get in and it was freezing!!! but well worth the wait as the display was beautiful!!! Leon has it all taped on his phone when i can get him to sit still for two minutes i will try to get it uploaded for you all to see.I hopo all myy uk friends had a great night,

Happy halloween!!!

I just wanted to show you all a few photos of some of the things we made for halloween this year we had a lovely evening it was cold but dry and my boys came home with a lot of goodies after going trick or treating we didnt get many callers here but i guess it is just because our street is just so small and full of ealderly people who dont answer the doors so the kids just seem to skip us which is a shame as i really enjoy seeing the kids all dressed up and having fun!!! I thought id just share some cooking that we did too!! i am hoping to get some more of the halloween photos of the kids in thier costumes uploaded to my halloween album too!!! i hope you all had a happy and safe halloween i knoe we did i always enjoy watching a scary movie on halloween so thats what we did!!!

A day out at Cardiff

A few weeks ago i told you that i had won some tickets to Cardiff to the craft show so i decided to go on thursday morning and Leon said he would come with me so on thursday morning at 6.30am we both got out of bed to make our way to the railway station in the car to be on the train to cardiff at just after 8am. The journey took and our and a half but we had fun playing hangman and chatting on the way up it was dry but very very cold.

We finally found the place at 10am after getting a little lost!!! but we were finally inside in the warm we had a look around and then founs a place where you could have a go at making your own paper for 70p so we both had a go and i have to say even though it was a wet and messy experience we both had a lot of fun and here you can see the results!!!

There was also a place where you could learn how to knit i already know how to but Leon insisted he wanted to try so i decided to leave him there and go take a little look around for myself!!!

Here is what we found to buy i did have one or two good bargins but in whole i was a little disapointed with the whole experience there where very few stitchy shops and a lot of them where very expensive i was hoping to get some mill hill beads and some krenick but there wasnt any there at all i think if i ever decided to go agan i would save and go to birmongham as the one year i did go there even though it was a 10hour round trip there was so much more to choose from and i really did enjoy it so even tough Leon and i had a day out and a little roam around cardiff hwere i did find a fantastic beads/charms shop i am a little disappointed with the show .

What a busy day!!!

wI had a call from my dad yesterday morning as he was supposed to be calling down his car had decided to die on him so i went to meet him in town with his shopping took him home and used my machine on his car i then followed him to the shop not far from me to get a new battery then followed him again to my house where i helped replace the battery in the poring rain then he had a cuppa with us while he dried off before he went home its still ok as far as i know as i havent heard from him.

The christmas lights arrived and Leon and me tried them on my tree but they werent big enough so we put the tree away and went down to b&q and then down to homebase and morrisons but have not bought anymore as yet by the time we camehome it was cold and dark so we made some pizza ut the heating on and settled down to watch a dvd for the night.
I recieved my first rr/orniment exchange from Sue yesterday this exchange is currently being run on my board in the last three months of this year the idea is you send an unfinished orniment to your 3 partners and finsih the ones you het back as you choose this is what i recieved from Sue and its lovely thankyou Sue!!!! I also have an update on my santas dragon its coming it really is at long last im starting to see siggns i may acually get it doen by the end of next month!!!!
Im going to try get some cleaning done today cos i wont be here tomorrow and make a list of anythings i may want to pick up at the craft show and then an early bed because me and leon leave early tomorrow!!!

Arrrhhhh!!!!

Right i feel a little better now but its just been that type of week between cancelled hospital appointments,naughty children and broken glasses ill be glad to see this week well and truely over but hang on a minute its half term next week!!!
Inbetween everything this week i have manged to do ssomethings though i attempted to bake my fist ever christmas cake this week and after 3 hours cooking here is my cake in all its glory...

not bad for a first attempt hey???!!! i have to feed it brandy now every week ntill the week before christmas whe i will decorate it and show you again.Leons been in trouble in school this week which has led to him being given 2 after school detentions he wasnt the only one but he needs to learn not to copy everyone else too he knows when hes stepping over the line and needs to start growing up a little and he will do better he has his last detention today and im hoping that while he is home next week he will try to decide to behave better when he goes back to school they all seem to go through this behaviuor when they start comprehensive school it was bad enough with Jake now we are doing it again with Leon. Jake came home from school yesterday with his glasses broken someone had grabbed them off his face and thrown them into the wall but the school is dealing with the person so i hope they contact his parents becasue its just not on Jake is really going to struggle the rest of this week without them we git his replacement glaases ree but have been told next time it will cost £68 so he really needs to look after them this time.

The hospital called on tuesday afternoon and cancelled Donnys appointment so now we have to wait untill the 6th november to see how his eyes are going so after my rant you can see why this week has been so rubbish. I have managed to get some stitching done how i will never know but i have finished the xmas ornniment/rr for Louise but i cant show you yet and just have one more to do then all my stitched exchanges for this year are over!!! i have also done a little more on my santas dragon too. Well im off soon to go meet Jake and take him to tescos with me for Leons cooking stuff for school tomorrow Leon will be walking home as punishment for what hes done and hes not going to be too happy about that because we have gale force winds here and its raining but he has to learn

A fun filled weekend

Ive had a brilliant weekend this week i spend a whole lot of time with my family ive slipped on here to update while the boys are out Leon has gone to kick boxing and Jake has gone with him for a walk as Leon got his lisence this week he is allowed to spar this weekend and is really looking foward to it and next weekend he has his first attempt at gaining his first belt which if he passes he will recieve on halloween and he is so looking foward to that too. He almost didnt make it to kick boxing on friday night as Jake swung open the front door and smacked him on the head with it Leon had a fair lump there but was ok thankfully we were a little late getting there and i explained to the coach and she made sure she kept an eye on him for me. On saturday my dad and stepmum called as usual and i cy=ut his hair again for him before the winter comes in mind you its really cold and windy here today so i dont think we will have very many more warm sunny days. On saturday morning the postman also brought me something i really wasnt expecting!!! i have won two tickets to the Carrdiff craft show and i am planning to go on thursday the 30th oct i was planning on maybe giving it a miss this year but there is no way im doing that now!!! the onky problem i have is finding someone that would maybe like the other ticket and want to come with me Leon is coming as Jake came with me last time but children go in free so is there anyone that wants to be my company for the day??? just let me know :-)
I spend s good few hours last night playing singstar with the boys we bought some new songs from singstore after we all eventually sgreed on what we wanted one of them was the final countdown by europe that brought back some memories of school discos i can tell you lol.We had a brilliant time Donny was upstairs watching ufc and came down at 11pm and said hmm i think youd better switch it off now its getting a bit late to be so noisy!!!! so the kids then went to bed and we settled down for the night. Last but not least here is another update on santas dragon it is coming along very slowly!!!

Busy busy

Wow has this been a busy week so far and its not over yet!!! I have a little time before i have to go colect Leon from the school disco i was only picking him up from school two hours ago as he had a rugby match and now hes back there again until i go collect him at 9pm.

Tuesday was busy the boys went with the cadets to the towns majors palour with the cadets i had to collect them just after 9pm and when we got back Leon and I rescued a frog that was hoping about on the road and placed him in the school field out of harms way i am supprised how many people have said its bad luck to touch a frog but id rather pick it up than see it squished on the road i like frogs!!!! the way things are going with me hopefully it will bring some good luck after all in all the fairy stories dont the princesses kiss a frg to get a prince??? id hardly call that bad luck LOL

On wednesday i decided to take down my cutains and shorten them so the heat comes out from the radiators instaed of into the curtains and they look so much better all they need now is for me to go over the stitching with my sewing machine i dyed the off cuts with a chocolate brown dye and i am going to be recovering my dining room chairs with them so they are cleaner than the dirty white they are at the moment and i like the colour they came out so much ive decided im going to get more dye and change my curtains from cream to chocolate brown and i want to dye the cusion covers on my sofa too. Last night Leon was also in bed at 5pm with a really bad migraine i think it was his body telling him he needs a break so i decided to scrub all my kitchen units and appliamnces as everything seems to be a dog level and they seemed grubby but they are sparkling for now i went to wake Leon at 9pm to get his uniform off him and then he decided he wanted food he ate it and was back in bed by 9.20pm and i was shaking him up this morning but was insistant he was fine and so far so good.

I also managed to get somemore done on my dragon last night for a bit anyway and i have done even more today so fingers crossed it will be done soon cos im getting sick of the sight of it. Well its friday tomorrow so i guess i am taxi mum untill 8pm then i get a bit of piece before they get in from cadets so if i not back before have a great weekend everyone :-)

Monday again already

I dont know the weeks seem to be getting quicker and quicker these days and christmas is slowly but surely creeping up quicker than any of us like to think too!!! which is why i am desperatly trying to get santas dragon done before my decorations go up next month i am keeping at it but i am so disapointed when do a good few hours on it and countless stitches and then when i look at it i think is that really all ive done????? heres a new wip picture for you all to see im not getting too dis heartened yet though i will keep up trying to get it complete in time.Saying that ive got nothing done on it so far today ive just been too busy ive cleaned all of downstairs this mornning living room kitchen and bathroom all my floors are cleaned and ive dried one lot of clothes on the line and have another out and ive dried 3 lots in the tumble drier and have another lot in there and another wash on the go!! i also have a cawl simmering on the stove for tea and a loaf of bread baking i still have my leather sofas to get clean but i am taking a break as my back is killing me and my chest is a bit tight for a minute but ill be fine after ive had this cuppa. The boys will be home soon so i may leave the sofas untill tomorrow we are in tomorrow awaiting some of the things we have starting getting for them for xmas i wont say too much as they both know where this page is lol.The postman was late today he was here just before 2pm i really didnt think he was coming but when he did i recieved the fabbie i had won from Jackies contest on threads and yarn it is 28ct evenweave so i think its about time i learned how to stitch over 2 so this is the perfect oppurtunity to do so and the fabbie is just so pretty i am looking foward to having a go at some pointOh well no rest for the wicked i suppose id better get on!!!

Its friday!!!!

The start of the weekend which means i get a lay in tomorrow which is great!!! The house is lovely and quiet at the moment with the boys in cadets after id picked Leon up from school rugby training then feed them droped Leon off at kick boxing come back droped Jake at cadets then went back to pick Leon up and drop him at cadets9PHEW! LOL) so im sluming it tonight and relaxing with a martini and lemonade whilst i cook a pizza in the oven and watching eastenders. Yesterday afternoon i went to the nurse for my flu jab and my arm has been killing me but tonight its feeling so much better thank goodness.

I had a nice quiet day yesterday before i went to the drs though i managed to get a xmas piece done for my rr/orniment exchange on my board thats the first one from three this runs monthly for the next three months we all get 3 orniments back unfinished and we get to turn them into what ever we want which is all new to me but so far im enjoying it!!! I also managed to do a bit more on my santas dragon and to finish the last corner on the rr and i finished it so here is a photo for you all to see ;-)
What do you think? I love it!!!! and i am almost half way to doing 50 for Tonyas challenge on the sss board hhhmmm somehow me things im never gonna do 25 in the next 3 months!!!!

A crafty day.

Here are the goodies from the craft shop i got in Gorseinon yesterday all ready to start making my christmas cards for this year and today as it has been so wet cold dark and miserable here i thought i may just aswell make a start.
I have shocked myself this year with what i have managed so far i really didnt think i did too well last year with the cards i attempted to make but as it was my first real go i guess i shouldnt really be too disapointed i guess everyone has to start somewhere and i am just hoping to keep improving with practise :-)

We recieved this lovely gift in the mail this morning from Karen from the smo board she sent Donny a lovely get well card which i read to him and have put on the fire place and she sent me some more lovely halloween stuff and i just love it!!! she really knows what i like and just how to spoil me thankyou Karen :-)

I also finished off my halloween tree today and the boys helped me decorate it when they came home from school and the little houses underneath it are the ones i recived from Debra over on the smo board as part of a halloween exchange last year they just arrived a little too late for halloween so they are alll freshly built ready for this one.Its my first attempt at a halloween tree so im hoping it looks ok :-)

Monday catch up

Well its been a few days since ive found time to post as ive been so busy with everything here but i thought id take the time to let you sll know what it is ive been up to/. Well i finally finished the fantasy exchange on the old sss yahoo group im asuming that it has been recieved by now even though i havent heard and i mailed it first thing thursday morning and as it was just going to England so it should be there by now as it went first class so here is the dragon dreams chart i did the photo doesnt do the sparkles justice though and to be honest i really didnt want to post this one i loved the way it finished so so much but you cant always keep everything now can you!!! which is a real shame i must say oh well hopefully what ever i get back will touch me just the same :-)
Ive been spoilt again the last week with some lovely gifts first was this beautiful fabric from Trish from the smo board she told me she was sending the halloween fabbie but i really had no idea about the christmas one not that i mind at all as it is beautiful and such a lovely suprise thankyou trish!!!!
I also recieved my dmc from Maru which i won in her contest on the smo board and she has sent me some lovely colours all wrapped up in a beautiful trick or treat bag its was so beautifully done i really didnt want to open up the bag and take out the dmc so thankyou too Maru :-)

I would also like to think Twig off the smo board as well for sending Donny a lovely card to say she was think of him and what hes going through i have it sat on my fire place right now i put it there after i had read it to him and he also would like to say thankyou for your kind thoughts so thankyou so much Twig :-)

I have been busily trying to work on my santas dragon while i have been home the last few days i really am trying to get some done but i have been putting it down to do Donnys meds so its not hours at the time so progress is slow but i am getting there i promise i will take some photos by the weekend so you can all see. I also painted my halloween tree this week and the boys have told me its looking pretty cool which is nice to hear as always!!! i walked town saturday afternoon with Leon trying to get black glitter while Jake stayed at home with Donny but came home with none so we went up to the craft shop in Gorseinon today and i finally have some along with another £9 of stuff to make christmas cards lol i always seem to spend a fortune in that place which is why i try to avoid it as much as i can. I did make a start on my christmas cards on sunday afternoon before i watched my football match and i have a total of 4 so far hmmmm not very much but i guess its a start afterall!!! I will post photos when ive done a few more i promise!!! Back to the halloween tree i am running a contest on my message board the winner of the best tree will get a nice prize so if youd like to try please feel free to come join my board the link is in my links section.

Not good news.

As you all know today i was back up the hospital with Donny for his check up after his medical problem with his eyes reared its ugly head again last month well after the check up this morning we have found it has now returned in both eyes which really isnr good. He is now on meds every two hours in the newly infected eye and 4 times daily in the eye that hasnt cleared up. He can still see nothing in the eye that was first affected again and now next to nothing in the other especially when he has had his meds. We have to do this again for another month and wait for a new appointment to go back they are quite hopeful that the infection in the newly affected eye has been caught early but we will have to wait and see.

I needed to slip to tescos on the way home for a few things and had to try guide him around as he could see nothing when he came out of the hospital and then i brought him home where we have been for the rest of the day with the curtains pulled to try keep out the sun light id really deosnt do that much though as my curtains are cream. I made a phone call to the drs this afternoon as i need to get my flu jab as i cannot afford to be ill and the cold i had last week was bad enough so im going to get it done tomorrow i really dont want to go as i hate needles but i will.

While Donny was in the hospital this morning i slipped to the pond which is right by the hospital and i found the perfec thing to make my halloween tree im so excited i have posted a contest on my message board to get everyone else in on the fun!!!! When we got back from the hospital i kept myself busy trying not to think too much about the news we had today i baked a loaf of bread and cooked us some soup for lunch and then worked for a few hours on my santas dragon then i baked a chocolate loaf a pork dinner and some chocolate cakes before i had a bath and settled down to watch eastenders im now watching the man city match on the telly we normally watch bones because Donny likes it but ive just had to wakr him to give him his drops ive put the heating on so its nice and warm in here even though the wind is howling and its really pouring outside so its knocked him for 6.

Final halloween exchange finished for this year

Just a quick post today ove been busy cleaning this morning and ironing this afternoon and i shall be off soon to get tea started but before i do i wanted to share with you the halloween exchange i made for one of the ladies off the sanman board as she recieved it yesterday i almost didnt want to send it it came out so cool i did the skeleton and the moon in glow in the dark krenick also the heading on the tombstone so it really comkes to live in the night time. I just hope she enjoys it :-).

We are back up the hospital tomorrow for Donnys check up so please if you can id be really grateful if you could keep us in your thoughts and send some possitive vibes our way that would be great!!!
